Terms of Service
Last updated 13 September 2026
These terms cover your clinic’s use of Lumi, the clinic management software provided by Lumi Clinique (“we”, “us”), based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Using Lumi means your clinic accepts them.
Who can use Lumi
Lumi is for licensed clinics and the people who work in them. Your clinic holds one account. Everyone who uses it gets their own login and a role. You decide who to invite and what each role can see.
Your account
Keep logins private and do not share them. Tell us at hello@lumiclinique.com if you think an account has been compromised. Your clinic is responsible for what happens under its accounts.
Your data stays yours
Patient records, notes, invoices and settings your clinic enters belong to your clinic. We hold and process them so we can run the service for you. We do not sell them. You can ask for an export at any time.
Clinical responsibility
Lumi records and organises information. It does not practise medicine. Every clinical decision belongs to the treating doctor. The AI assistant prepares a draft or a proposed action, and a staff member confirms it before anything is saved or sent.
Acceptable use
Do not use Lumi to break the law, to hold data you have no right to hold, to message patients who have not agreed to hear from you, or to attack or probe the service. Do not resell access.
Messaging
Messages sent through Lumi travel over WhatsApp and are subject to WhatsApp’s own terms. Your clinic is responsible for having the patient’s consent to message them.
Fees
What your subscription includes and how it is billed are set out in your clinic’s agreement with us. Fees are due as agreed there. We may change fees, with notice before your next renewal.
Availability
We work to keep Lumi available and backed up. We do not promise it will never be interrupted. Maintenance happens outside clinic hours whenever we can arrange it.
Our software
Lumi, its design and its code stay ours. Your clinic’s own data is the exception, and that stays yours.
Ending the agreement
Your clinic can stop using Lumi at any time. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or does not pay. When an agreement ends you can export your data for 30 days.
Liability
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits, or for lost data beyond what we can restore from backups. Our total liability is limited to what your clinic paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change matters to you, we will say so before it takes effect.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the laws of Canada that apply there. The courts of the judicial district of Montreal have jurisdiction over any dispute.
